This beach is basically exclusive to Lifestyle Holiday Resort guest. The beach is very narrow, but gently sloped. The ocean water practically reaches the resorts stairs. There are no beach chairs on the beach but the resort has a man made beach built in layers with beds and a cocktail bar.
If you are not a guest at the resort you can gain access a short ways westward thru a public 'park' area then walk the narrow beach. You will get wet due to the fact the beach is narrow. This beach is also very dirty little red with trash and debris compared to others I have been on in the area. This by far is NOT the best beach in the Puerto Plata area!! Another disappointed in LHVC for not maintaining 'their' for their guests.
Noticing that most of the pictures that have been posted for Confresi Beach actually are not “beach photos” at all but rather photos from near the beach. If you were to ask me where is the best beaches in the Puerto Plata area it would NOT be Confresi! Comparing the beaches of Confresi to that of Cabarete. The beach at Cabarete are so much nicer and CLEANER than Confresi. Confresi beach is a narrow strip (10’ of sand) of sloped sand that is boarded by a wall of the lifestyles resort. Not much length to walk at all either.
Compare that to Cabarete; you can walk and walk and walk for miles! Where Cabarete is low slopped and has ample beaches that are cleaner than Confresi!! I don’t like dirty trashy beach I’m so supervised that lifestyles doesn’t take better care of the area. Seems like the are EXPLOITING it vs caring for it. Anyway I’m posting the photos I took to show the trash and the lack of true beach space at Confresi.
