I specifically mentioned before I enrolled that I am using a Mac and if there will be issues on this and I was told that there is a Mac version and that it will be fine. Is there anyone using Mac who can help me? I see that there are a lot of issues with Mac users even by simply installing MYOB. Is your department doing something about this as I will assume there are a lot of Mac user enrolees? Do you have an answer to my questions mentioned earlier? Are you suggesting for me to buy a laptop with Window system to pass my assessment?
Hi Mae This is a short course on how to use MYOB for bookkeeping. There is no assessment in this short course.


Typically there should be no problems with the crossover of learning from Mac to Windows for this course. For the bulk of this short course learning, you should be able to apply it to your Mac version. However, some functions are slightly different in a Mac version. This will also depend on the actual version of MYOB AccountEdge you are using. You will find in real practice many users of the Mac version AccountEdge have problems. This is why people choose a Windows PC over a Mac.

This is a personal choice of preference. In regards to your questions for Chapter 10, please see the following link for step by step instructions. For Chapter 11, this depends on whether you want to permanently use the Undeposited Funds account to receive money, or just as required. If permanently, through Setup, select Preferences tab. Then tick the box to use this account. If on an as-needed basis, it is just a case of changing the “Pay To” account in each transaction.
