I don’t feel comfortable with my relationship to mopey white kid music of the 80s and 90s; it’s like running into cousins you never really got close to except not cousins, maybe, because you wish you were making out with them. So not cousins, and also “making out” is a really foreign concept to you because rappers don’t “make out”. Rappers ice grill and front, rappers get paid and flip scripts and erotically, rappers “smack it up, flip it [and] rub it down.” Seriously, the romantic enterprise is so commonly vague and unconvincing in rap lyrics that I’m not sure all the flouncy girls in our videos aren’t to cover for the fact that rappers in general have no direct vocabulary for what goes on between people at any time after eye contact and before orgasm. Ghettosocks some friendships Maybe if rappers would make out with someone from science class at dumb parties and accidentally talk until the sun came up and feel like crying when girls or boys dance with someone else, I would have a fighting chance at ever knowing what my life was supposed to be like.

One of the most popular video game genres among GNU/Linux users is FPS (First Person Shooter). Proof of this lies in the sheer number of games currently available on the net. One is these games is Nexuiz, which is noteworthy for its high quality graphics and well-constructed environments that keep the action running at full speed. Nexuiz has both single-player and multiplayer modes, including the ability to play online with other players. It is also worth mentioning the extreme violence involved in the game, with numerous scenes in which your body or the bodies of your victims are blown apart and scattered around the stage. So if you want to have a blast shooting and testing your reflexes, Nexuiz is a good choice to do so.

Nexuiz was originally developed by Lee Vermeulen and Forest ‘LordHavoc’ Hale, who started Alientrap in the summer of 2002. The goal of the project was to create a high quality first person shooter that could be played freely across all platforms in one package: PC, Mac, and Linux. The engine that powered Nexuiz was Forest Hale’s Darkplaces engine. The first version of the game was released in 2005. Development continued with many online contributors over the years, with version 2.5 released in October of 2009. Since its release it has been downloaded over 6 million times, and is included with many Linux distributions.

In mid-2010 it was announced that a new XBLA, PSN, and Steam downloadable remake of Nexuiz would be done from the ground up by IllFonic using Crytek’s CryENGINE3 game engine. Original Nexuiz designer Forest ‘LordHavoc’ Hale worked with Illfonic on the new version, many of the GPL contributors forked the project into a new game Xonotic, while Lee Vermeulen moved towards Capsized development. Illfonic’s Nexuiz was released for XBLA in February 2012, and Steam May 3rd 2012.
